Character Sheet

Senior Software Engineer with over 10 years of experience architecting and building high-performance systems across engineering consultancy and financial software, from distributed microservices to monoliths and desktop applications. I specialise in event-driven architecture and performance optimisation, with a track record spanning greenfield system design, legacy architecture redesign, and reverse-engineering poorly documented systems.

I thrive on technical challenges that combine deep problem solving with close collaboration with domain specialists, translating complex requirements into reliable systems. As a Technical Lead, I've architected systems from scratch, mentored developers through implementation, and driven architectural improvements on live client projects, consistently building solutions that others can understand, maintain, and extend.

I'm seeking a senior role where I can bring architectural depth and technical leadership to simulation, performance-critical applications, and mission-critical software where the work has tangible real-world impact.
